Sure the partying and celebrating is great, but the best part about New Years Eve is looking back and remembering some of the highlights of the year. 2010 was a big year for movies, and we’ve got the box-office numbers to prove it!

Some of my favorite movies of the year were Shutter Island, Inception (Yes, I know uber-cutie Leonardo DiCaprio was the lead in both of those movies. Coincidence, I swear!), Alice in Wonderland, and Toy Story 3.. But, there were TONS of commercially successful movies I never got around to see that made the list such as Harry Potter or The Karate Kid. So how do all these titles rank? And just how much cash did these flicks bring in to the box office? Check out Box Office Mojo’s Top 10 blockbusters of 2010 below!

10. The Karate Kid – $177 million

9. How to Train Your Dragon – $218 million

8. Shrek Forever After – $238 million

7. Despicable Me – $251 million

6. Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows (part one) – $273 million

5. Inception – $293 million

4. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – $301 million

3. Iron Man 2 – $312 million

2. Alice in Wonderland – $334 million
