  • Deborah Richey

I’m a Cancer Survivor. I was diagnosed with Adeno Carcinoma stage 4, with matatsis to the liver. I have been treated by Curtis & Elizabeth Anderson at Memorial Health University Medical Center, in Savannah, Georgia. My team of Doctor’s have given me life after cancer. Dr. James Garber, Surgical Oncology, Dr. Charles W Duckworth,Digestive & Liver Health, and Dr. L.E. Bud Robertson, F.A.C.P, Summit Cancer Care Medical Oncology & Hematology. I live in Claxton, Georgia and have had 54 chemo treatments and 7 stents placed in my common bile duct. With Surgery not an option, treatment with new chemo drugs have BLESSED me with 4 years survival versus the 6 to 8 month stastics of this diagnosis . Without research and new drugs, my life could be over. We are all aware of the research needed for this deadly disease. When you face it personally or expirence it with a family member or a friend, the need for research and cures truely become personal and more important. I’m so excited to see people who are willing to stand up for cancer survivors and give their time, talents and money to find a cure for this dreadful disease that has touched so many lives around us. I look forward to seeing the special on Friday and God Bless each participant. Deborah Richey, (912) 739-2421.
